Department of Physics
The importance of physics as a central discipline in the history of science can be acknowledged by looking at its influence on the development of other sciences. The Department of Physics of Jahrom University was established began its educational and research activities in 2010. There are five faculty members at the department who carry out research as well as instruct undergraduate students in cosmology, elementary particles, optics, quantum computing and dense matter. Approximately, 70% of the students were admitted to graduate levels previous years, among which several are studying at PhD level. The department enjoys such facilities as the laboratories of Basic Physics and Specialized Physics including the laboratories of optics and solid state.
