Overview
History:
The history of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities of the University Jahrom dates back to the establishment of the Department of Sports Sciences, the Department of English Language Translation and the Department of Persian literature in 2007. The Department of Linguistics was established four years later in 2011 and started the intake at the undergraduate level in September of the same year. Eventually and in line with the policy of the expansion of human and social sciences, Jahrom university had its undergraduate intake in the Islamic Philosophy and Theology as well as in Accounting in 2014 and 2019, respectively.
Pursuing the development of postgraduate studies, the first master's degree was launched in Persian language and literature in September 2013. Later, master's degrees in the fields of Sports Sciences (with the minor of Strategic Management) as well as in Linguistics were established in January 2017 and September 2017, respectively. These postgraduate degrees were established following the obtaining of the approval of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
Currently, the faculty provides 5 undergraduate programs and 3 master's degree programs.
