General Linguistics

a)Educational Objective : Creating the required groundwork and opportunities towards educating and training efficient specialists needed by society in the field of linguistics and Persian language teaching;

b)Research Objective: Providing the necessary groundwork for carrying out fundamental, applied and developmental research in linguistics and interdisciplinary sciences such as computational linguistics, with the aim of producing science and growing and improving the scientific level of the Department and the society

c)Practical purpose: Preserving the fading dialects and accents of the south part of Fars province - Preserving national identity based on the regional languages and dialects.
