Management for Educational Affairs and Postgraduate Studies

All educational affairs of the students are carried out in this management. These activities are mainly performed by the Admission and Registration Office and Alumni Affairs Office. 


Admission and Registration Office
• Registering the new Iranian and non-Iranian students (bachelor and master) • Issuing the matriculation cards 
• Dealing with student affairs such as taking credits, adding and dropping courses, late drop, taking a semester off, issuing certificate of enrollment, recording the grades, applying for academic exemption and the confirmation of previous academic levels, issuing educational rules and verdicts, offering financial settlement, sending  the transfer students' documents, etc.;
• Preparing and compiling educational regulations to be proposed to the Vice-Chancellor for Education and Postgraduate Studies in order to be approved in the Educational Council of the university;
• Monitoring the proper implementation of educational regulations;
• Establishing coordination among the faculties and other affiliated departments and sections with regards to educational activities;
• Supervising the proper implementation of educational regulations defined in the SESS system;
• Organizing selected meetings of the Educational and Postgraduate Studies Council to deal with educational issues of the students;
• Issuing Persian and English transcripts for the student applicants as well as calculating the costs of free education, if deemed necessary;
• Supervising the proper implementation of the educational rules and regulations in faculties and the affiliated sections and departments;
• Dealing with the applications for exchange and transfer students by other universities to the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and vice versa;
• Performing financial affairs related to the tuition fees of self-funded students as well as international students.
 
Alumni Affairs Office
• Archiving the graduate students' files;
• Updating and registering identity and educational information of old and new alumni;
• Issuing letters including the letters for the GPA, compulsory military service, rank, and academic completion, etc.
• Issuing temporary certificate of completion of studies or certificate of graduation;
• Issuing academic certificate for graduate students in order to pursue academic education or to be submitted for employment;
• Issuing academic Persian and English transcripts (official and unofficial) for all educational levels;
• Issuing English certificates for all educational levels;
• Reviewing and approving graduation certificates in Student Affairs System of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology;
• Sealing the graduation certificates to be sent abroad;
• Cancelling free education commitment of the graduates through issuing a letter of non-employment, receiving free education or employment certificate.


Other activities
• Redefining and optimizing the current educational procedures of the university;
• Providing educational counsel to both students of Jahrom University as well as other universities and higher education institutions;
• Providing major selection counsel to the candidates of the National Education Measurement and Evaluation Organization's exams;
• Offering educational counsel to the staff of Jahrom University as well as other universities.
